Clearview Library Is A Launching Point For Discovery

From rural pockets to downtown neighborhoods, the Clearview Library District meets the residents of Severance, West Greeley, and Windsor where they live, work, and play. Our library views itself as a starting point – the launching point for discovery, imagination, creativity, and learning – for all ages.

What Can You Find at the Library?
The library provides a connection to valuable information and resources in four main ways:

Physical Materials
Exactly what comes to mind when you think library – books, magazines, movies, music, audiobooks, and video games. The library also offers an extensive collection of Explore Kits for checkout, like drones, GoPros, musical instruments, and much more.

Virtual Materials
The library is constantly evolving with you and your needs. They offer a host of digital materials and resources, including e-books and audiobooks, as well as access to more than 35 databases for specific, in-depth research. You can also stream music, movies, and TV straight to your device.

Programs and Events
The library’s events and programs serve every age. They hold early literacy programs inside and out of the library, foster STEAM education in grade-school kids, provide a safe and inclusive space for teens, and promote continuing education for adults. Whether you’re reading, dancing, crafting, or grabbing a brew, they provide opportunities to come together as a community and expand our horizons.

Connection – to information, to ideas, to people – is an important part of growing, learning, and contributing to a stronger community. The library’s team of tech experts is here to help you get and stay connected with our WiFi; free printing or copying (up to $2 per day), faxing, and 3D printing; Mac or PC computer workstations; and laptop checkouts in the library.

Where Can You Find the Library?
The library isn’t limited by its four walls. Our library believes in building community. Whether they are visiting an assisted living facility or hosting Rec & Tech at Lakeview Park in Severance, library staff bring resources out and into parks, schools, breweries, businesses, and much more.

The bookmobile – a library on wheels – is in a neighborhood near you. It visits regular stops in Severance, West Greeley, and Windsor on a weekly basis, offering everything you’d find at the library. Hop onboard to explore materials or have it deliver an item you’ve placed on hold.

Lobby Stops
It can be difficult to come to the main library or navigate the steps of the bookmobile. The Lobby Stops service is just another way the library works to make their resources as accessible as possible. Armed with requested materials, library staff visit six different assisted living facilities on a weekly basis.

School Visits
During the school year, the library is a regular in classrooms, engaging with students through STEAM (Science, Technology, Engineering, Art, Mathematics) activities and supporting staff with resources that help supplement curriculum. They’re also on hand at special school events to bring helpful resources to the students, families, and staff of Weld RE-4.

To access the full power of the library, sign up for a library card today at or visit the Windsor-Severance Library at 720 Third St. in Windsor.

The library brings literacy outdoors year-round with StoryWalk, a series of installations that feature a children’s book. As you progress along the path at Eastman Park (Windsor) or Lakeview Park (Severance), you’ll explore a new page of the story.
