Glen Ellyn, Lombard and Wheaton are home to numerous recreational and travel teams. Below are are some great options for your kiddos.  


Basketball

Glen Ellyn Titans
Glen Ellyn Titans Basketball is a feeder system for the Glenbard West High School basketball program. Boys and girls participate in a respected and competitive program. The level of play is competitive and a high-level commitment by both the players and parents to the program is expected. The season begins with tryouts in the fall, training begins in October, and the season ends at the beginning of March.

Baseball

Briarcliff Blazers Baseball League
The Briarcliff Blazer players enjoy trained coaches, as well as annual clinics, All-Star games, and post-season tournaments. Players (and parents) also have opportunities to participate in social activities, such as marching in the Wheaton Fourth of July parade, movie nights, and other social outings. WBYB continues to be a valuable asset to the Wheaton Community and an outlet for all those who enjoy the great games of baseball and softball!

Glen Ellyn Rebels Baseball League
Rebels travel baseball in Glen Ellyn is fast and exciting. It encompasses the best baseball players in town, and it provides a chance for players to compete against the best players from other towns in northern Illinois. Players from the Glen Ellyn area have the opportunity to play together under one program that best represents Glen Ellyn. The travel program utilizes instructional participation from coaches at both Glenbard West and Glenbard South High Schools. The program provides for one or two full-time and one part-time travel teams for the following age groups: 9U, 10U, 11U, 12U, 13U, and 14U.

Lombard Lightening  Baseball League
The Lombard Lightening Baseball League is a full-time travel team. The mission of the league is to provide a safe and competitive environment for young players to learn and enjoy the game of baseball. The coaches are committed to providing all players with an experience that fosters positive self-esteem, team spirit and individual growth through personal achievement and team play. The coaches are dedicated to teaching baseball fundamentals and life skills through good sportsmanship, leadership, positive coaching, and peer and parent communications.

Cheer

Lombard Falcons Cheer Team
Cheer season starts the end of July or beginning of August and runs through the end of October or early November. If the squad decides to participate in additional competitions or their football team makes it into the playoffs, they may be required to participate into mid-November.

Wheaton Rams Cheer Team
Cheerleading focuses on fundamental cheerleading skills with an emphasis on teamwork, safety, and sportsmanship. Cheerleaders are expected to work as a team and attend two to four practices per week depending on age and ability level. The squads cheer at home Rams football games on Saturdays and Sundays starting in mid-August through the first week of November. We expect to cheer at a minimum of six games and participate in local competitions. Practices start July 1 and continue through the end of November.

Football

Lombard Falcons Junior Football League 
The Falcons Junior Football League is for ages Flag, 8U, 9U, 10U, 11U, 12U and Varsity. Practices begin the end of July/beginning of August, Monday through Friday until Labor Day from 5:30 to 7:30 pm. All practices are held at Madison Meadows Park in Lombard. The cheer season starts the end of July or beginning of August and runs through the end of October or early November. If the squad decides to participate in additional competitions or their football team makes it into the playoffs, they may be required to participate into mid-November.

Under The Lights Flag Football League
The Under the Lights Flag Football league is brought to the community by Glenbard South Raider Football. The spring season runs from May through June, with games taking place Under the Lights at Glenbard South High School. Under the Lights is the exclusive youth flag football partner of Under Armour, Inc. The league is for both boys and girls from grades pre-k/kindergarten to eighth grade. Under the Lights is for players of all skill levels and promotes a competitive, confidence building, non-contact football experience.

Wheaton Rams Football League
The Wheaton Rams Youth Football program participates in the west suburban Bill George Youth Football League (BGYFL). The Rams youth football program has a proud and rich heritage of over 50 years of developing players for high-school programs. It is a competitive travel program where players learn and develop the fundamentals of tackle football, teamwork, sportsmanship and leadership in a supervised, organized and safe atmosphere.

Lacrosse

Glen Ellyn Bulldogs
The Glen Ellyn Bulldogs offers year round training. The Spring League play is offered for players first through eighth grade. Athletes in first to second grade participate in a house league format that focuses on fundamentals of game play. Practices are one to two days per week with games played on Saturday mornings. Athletes third to eighth grade participate in the Illinois Boys Lacrosse Association (IBLA). Teams will travel to neighboring towns for away games and host home games at Newton Park. Spring season runs April-early June.

Glen Ellyn Youth Rugby
The goal of Glen Ellyn Youth Rugby is to introduce young men to the game and traditions of rugby that the coaches have enjoyed so much over the years. The game of rugby is a legendary game that mixes strength, speed and agility. It is a game that welcomes athletes of any size, shape, and age. You will find that rugby is similar to sports you’ve played in the past as it involves ball handling, running, kicking and tackling. Open to boys in grade school through high school.

Softball

Lombard Thunder Travel Softball
Lombard Thunder Travel Softball program offers girls an opportunity to compete at a higher level while also participating in the in-house softball program. The program includes indoor practices starting in January, outdoor practices starting in April, six clinics with a professional softball coach, one round robin and four local tournaments. There is are part-time programs for 10U, 12U and 14U and a full-time program for 10U. Interested in joining? Tryouts take place the end of August.

The Phillies Travel softball is designed for players that are prepared for a higher level of competition, with a greater commitment to practice, a focus on individual development and development as a TEAM! WBYB provides both a sound and responsible softball program for the youth of the area whose purpose is to encourage the teaching of the fundamentals of softball while encouraging the ideals of good sportsmanship, teamwork and ... having fun. Although based in Wheaton, we attract players from Glen Ellyn, Warrenville, Lisle, Winfield and other surrounding suburbs starting with "T-ball" programs at age 5 up and through the eighth grade. We offer opportunities for "in-house" leagues in addition to part-time and full-time travels teams

Firebirds Soccer Club
Glen Ellyn Lakers Soccer Club
The Glen Ellyn Lakers are a competitive travel soccer organization operated by the Glen Ellyn Park District. Glen Ellyn Lakers teams are trained and coached by the Future Pros professional training company. The Lakers offer U8 through U14 for boys who currently play in the Young Sportsmen Soccer League and U8 through U13 for girls who currently play in the Illinois Women's Soccer League. Players will then transition to the Midwest FC program which is for U15 and older for boys and U14 and older for girls.

Swimming

Glen Ellyn Gators
The Glen Ellyn Gators Swim Team is a summer league made up of boys and girls from 7-18 years of age. They practice outdoors at Sunset Pool in Glen Ellyn and compete in the West Suburban Swim Conference throughout June and July. Participants practice daily and learn the techniques and discipline of competitive swimming while learning the value of sportsmanship and team spirit.
