Piranhas Aquatic Club

Recreational Swim Facilities
Cosumnes CSD Parks & Recreation Department operates three aquatic facilities, and each has its own operating hours and admission fees. For details on operating hours or admission fees, call 916-405-5600.
Elk Grove Aquatics Center
9701 Big Horn Blvd., Elk Grove
The Elk Grove Aquatics Center features a combination of pools designed to serve competitive aquatics, instruction, water fitness and family recreation. It includes a 50-meter competition pool, and it boasts four diving boards. There’s also an instructional pool designed for younger swimmers, a recreational pool with a lazy river, an inflatable obstacle course and two 30-foot water slides.
Wackford Aquatic Complex
9014 Bruceville Road, Elk Grove
Wackford Aquatic Complex is your year-round community water park, and it is so much more than your average swimming pool! It’s home to the 45-foot-long-by-9-foot-high inflatable obstacle course called Double Trouble, as well as the 160-foot single-rider waterslide called Typhoon Tower. Your little ones will love Splash Island, a shallow wading pool with an interactive splash playground.
Jerry Fox Swim Center
9950 Elk Grove Florin Road, Elk Grove
The Jerry Fox Swim Center, located within Elk Grove Park, is a seasonal facility that provides opportunities to laugh, splash and play. Although smaller than the other two pools, it is home to a 140-foot waterslide called Clyde’s Plunge and a 25-yard swimming pool with six lanes. It is surrounded by oak trees that provide plenty of shade, and you’ll also find picnic tables.
Spray Grounds & Water Play
Seasonal Hours: Open daily May-September, 10 a.m.-8 p.m.
Cosumnes CSD offers parks with spray ground and water play features that have little or no standing water and offer a safe and welcoming playground where children of all abilities can come and play together. There are ground nozzles and water downspouts that spray water upwards out of the splash deck. Your little ones can run through a tunnel of spray rings or just cool off under towering dump buckets that fill with water! Below are three spray grounds that locals love:
Derr-Okamoto Park: 9550 Mainline Drive, Elk Grove
Morse Community Park: 5540 Bellaterra Drive, Elk Grove
Oasis Park: 8015 Poppy Ridge Road, Elk Grove
Cosumnes CSD Aquatics Swim Lessons Program
Swim lessons are available at all of the Cosumnes CSD aquatics facilities. All classes are taught by trained instructors and are available as private, semi-private or group lessons. Register online, and be sure to register early because these lessons fill up quickly!
SafeSplash Swim School
2060 Longport Court, Elk Grove
SafeSplash Swim School is a year-round provider of warm water swim lessons for kids and adults and teaches all skill levels ranging from the fundamentals of water safety to competitive instruction.
Sunshine Swim & Fitness Center
9360 Elk Grove Florin Road, Suite 4
Sunshine Swim Center offers swim lessons to all ages, infants to adults, as well as at-home swim lessons, kids camps and pool parties.
Water Fitness (aerobics) is quickly becoming the top adult exercise program in the nation and is available year-round through the Cosumnes CSD at the Elk Grove Aquatic Center and the Wackford Aquatic Complex. With ease of motion and limited resistance, these classes provide a great healthy alternative to traditional impact fitness. There are many class options, including Deep Water Fitness, Aqua Spin, Shallow Water Fitness and more.

The K&A Spease Foundation helps increase access to the aquatic facilities through the Making Waves Recreation Adventures (RAD) Scholarship, designed to provide access to swim lessons by providing a swimsuit, goggles, towel and two sessions of swim lessons for the underserved children in the Elk Grove community.
