Hello, I am Andy Burton, publisher of BeLocal Chicago Loop. I’m thrilled to introduce you to this real resource for the community designed to help welcome all new movers to our area.
I remember when we uprooted our family from California and moved to Chicago over a decade ago. In the first few months, my wife, Emily, and I were quickly trying to establish new routines with our small children in a new and unknown place. We wanted the transition to be as smooth as possible for ourselves and the kids, but it was overwhelming. We were pros at using Yelp to find all the “highly recommended” places but still felt like the recommendations came up short.
