Eagle Mount

With the help and support of a generous community, Eagle Mount opens up a world of adventures to people with disabilities and children with cancer, fostering freedom, joy, strength, focus, and confidence. Set under the beauty of Montana’s legendary big sky, Eagle Mount focuses on people’s abilities, while gently supporting their disabilities.
Our programs, camps, and activities encourage you to get moving, forge lasting friendships, make new memories, and discover your capabilities. Eagle Mount’s many programs offer something for everyone.
·Develop confidence, coordination, patience, self-esteem, and practical life skills in our adaptive horsemanship program.
·Swim all year round in our warm saltwater pool and enjoy the uniquely supportive, relaxing, and refreshing effects of water. No matter your age or ability level, you can exercise, learn to swim, or develop your existing swimming skills.
·Experience the incomparable joy of gliding down the mountain as you take in the scenery during a downhill ski or snowboard ride. Eagle Mount works with Bridger Bowl, Big Sky, Moonlight Basin, and Yellowstone Club.
·Connect with the natural world year-round with from getting moving through cross-country skiing, ice skating, snowshoeing, and hand cycling, to learning and growing through horticulture classes and tending our on-campus garden.
·The Family Support program supports caregivers, parents, and siblings through respite programs, peer group activities, and family-centered recreational opportunities and camps.
·Begun in 1985, Big Sky Kids serves young people with cancer from Montana and all over the U.S. We provide a family ski weekend each year, plus four different oncology summer camps, all centering on Montana adventures such as white-water rafting, horseback riding, kayaking, fishing, zip-lining, and touring the wonders of Yellowstone National Park.
·The Eagle Mount Bozeman Lasting Experiences for Military (EMBLEM) Program is designed to honor and aid our disabled veterans through adaptive recreation and spending time in nature with other veterans.
Eagle Mount volunteers receive training designed to help you improve your own skills and your teaching skills, as well as to help you understand more about disabilities in general, and if applicable, the specific challenges faced by an individual you’ll be working with.
Eagle Mount Bozeman invites annual partnerships and sponsorships from businesses and individuals deeply invested in community, who believe that people with disabilities or cancer deserve to experience all that Montana has to offer, and who want to help them “mount up with wings as eagles."
