SPRING

World Ag Expo, Tulare (February)
 A globally recognized expo drawing Ag industry leaders to Tulare County. With more than 100 countries represented and over 150,000 attendees each year, it’s a three-day long candy store for farmers built around innovation - where the world comes to see, shop, and experience how our region helps lead global agriculture forward. Don’t miss it. 

Rodeo Season (April & May)
 Spring here wouldn’t be complete without rodeo season. Generations gather each year for time-honored traditions filled with Western grit, community pride, and wholesome family entertainment. The Springville Sierra Rodeo and the Woodlake Lions Rodeo stand out as must-see celebrations, honoring decades of heritage while keeping the spirit of the West alive and well in our small towns.

Porterville Spring Festival (April)
 Formerly known as the Iris Festival, this signature downtown celebration is one of Porterville’s largest community events. 100’s of vendors, live entertainment throughout the day, and plenty of food and family-friendly activities, it’s a vibrant showcase of local flavor and hometown pride. Free to attend and full of energy, it’s the perfect way to experience the heart of Porterville in full spring swing. 

Go Native! A Native American Cultural Celebration (May)
 This free community event honors the Yokuts Tribe through traditional basket weaving, drumming, cultural demonstrations, children’s activities, and yummy Indian tacos. Held at Kaweah Oaks Preserve, it’s a meaningful day of culture, history, and connection set against one of the Valley’s most beautiful natural landscapes.

SUMMER
 
Exeter Fourth of July Festival (July)
Held in Exeter City Park, this classic small-town celebration brings the community together with local vendors, live hometown music, a festive beer booth, and plenty of red-white-and-blue spirit. It’s simple, spirited, and everything you love about the Fourth in one charming park setting. Fireworks are held at Dobson field in the evening. Bring a blanket to lay on and watch the show. 
 
Three Rivers Music & Community Gatherings (May - August)
 Set against scenic foothill views, summer events in Three Rivers blend live music, river vibes, and laid-back community energy that feels distinctly local. P.s. check the Riverview schedule for the best live bands around.

.Concerts in the Park (June–August)
 Across Tulare County, neighbors gather with lawn chairs and picnic blankets for relaxed evenings of live music.

Visalia Rawhide Baseball Season (April–September)
 An evening at the ballpark remains a timeless summer ritual, complete with themed nights and post-game fireworks.

FALL

Tulare County Fair (September)
 An early fall/late summer tradition that brings the whole county together, the Tulare County Fair blends agricultural roots with full-on festival energy. Expect headline concerts, carnival rides, livestock showcases, local exhibits, and all the deep-fried favorites that define fair season.

Oktoberfest in Tulare County (October)
 Each fall, downtown streets in Tulare and Visalia transform into lively Oktoberfest celebrations filled with seasonal brews, live music, and festive energy. Craft beer flows, local food vendors serve up crowd favorites, and entertainment keeps the atmosphere high-spirited well into the evening. Dont’t forget your lederhosen. 

Pumpkin Patches & Harvest Festivals (October)
 Corn mazes, hayrides, and golden-hour photo moments mark the arrival of fall throughout the county.
 
Visalia Emergency Aid Turkey Trot (November)
 Each Thanksgiving morning, downtown Visalia fills with runners, families, and neighbors gathering for a spirited start to the holiday. Hosted by Visalia Emergency Aid, this beloved community run blends fitness with philanthropy, supporting local families in need. It’s energizing, heartfelt, and a powerful reminder that gratitude and giving go hand in hand.
 

WINTER

Visalia Candy Cane Lane Parade (December)
 A downtown tradition featuring illuminated floats, marching bands, and local groups celebrating the season together. It’s hometown pride on full display under twinkling lights.

Tulare Christmas Tree Lighting Ceremony (December)
 Families gather in the heart of downtown at Zumwalt Park as the community tree comes to life, marking the official start of the holiday season with music, cheer, and festive spirit.

Exeter Christmas Parade (December)
 A classic small-town celebration where Main Street glows with decorated floats, community groups, and that unmistakable hometown holiday magic.

Three Rivers Holiday Open House (December)
 Foothill charm meets holiday magic as local shops and galleries host festive evenings filled with shopping, music, and neighborly connection.
