Helotes Market Place
The MarketPlace at Old Town Helotes is an arts and crafts fair situated in the heart of the City of Helotes. Visitors can relish distinctive hill country shopping as local craftsmen showcase their treasures from across South Texas. The MarketPlace takes place on the first Saturday of every month throughout the year. The only instances of cancellation are when the event coincides with a holiday or the Cornyval Parade, usually held in May.
Kendall County Livestock Show and Sale
Taking place in January every year, KCJLA provide's an opportunity for 4-H and FFA members to exhibit their livestock projects before the public, fostering the development of excellence in livestock production skills and practices. Junior Livestock youth learn sportsmanship, leadership, citizenship, and responsibility. Annually, each participant is allowed to sell one animal regardless of the placement of the show. The money the youth earn at the sale helps to fund their higher education goals.
Boerne Chocolate Walk
This sweet event takes participants on a stroll through historic downtown Boerne. Collect a special chocolate treat as you step inside each participating store, gallery, and restaurant along Main Street. Once you've visited all the stores you can return your raffle ticket for a chance to win prizes donated by the store owners. Participants must purchase a ticket through Boerne Parks and Recreation. Your ticket includes a map of the participating stores, a tote bag to collect your treats, and a raffle ticket. The event is close to Valentine’s Day each year.
National Handmade Day/Boerne Fall & Handmade Market
Boerne Handmade Market is the largest market of its kind in South Texas. From jewelry, apparel, leather goods, toys, home decor, and art to handmade candles, food, drink, and more---every item is unique and handcrafted with care.
Diva Night
The best girl's night out on the Mile is back! Fall Diva Night will be bursting with everything you love from your favorite shops: later shopping hours, cocktails, fun bites, music and more. It's the perfect night out with friends and is great for some mother/daughter q-time too. Come out and support your local businesses with a night of fun shopping. We can't wait to see you! This event is usually in April and November.
Texas Corvette Association Open Car Show
The Texas Corvette Association (TCA) Open Car Show, an annual event since 1992, draws enthusiasts nationwide, including participants from as far as Australia. Since 2000, the TCA has supported SJRC Texas, aiding children affected by trauma, abuse, and neglect in San Antonio, New Braunfels, and Bulverde. With over 300 entries, the car show at Boerne's Main Plaza during Fiesta® San Antonio remains a popular charitable event.
Farmers Market at Herff Farm
Herff Farm is the perfect Texas Hill Country destination for your Saturday! Located just a mile from Historic Downtown Boerne and 45 minutes from downtown San Antonio, the Farmers Market at Herff Farm is an open-air farmers market on the historic Herff Farm. You can buy products directly from local growers, ranchers, and crafters on a beautiful historic German farmstead in the Texas Hill Country. Explore our fenced gardens, pollinator meadow, and trails, and see the historic limestone Herff House.
Farmers Market, Comfort Park
The Farmers’ Market is set up in the Comfort Park from 8:00 am until sold out or noon, weather permitting. The Market opens in April and will be in the Park through the growing season. You will typically find plants, baked goods, canned items, and vegetables. All are homegrown or homemade. Comfort Park on Hwy 27 and Main St in Comfort.
Lemonade Day Boerne

Lemonade Day is a free, fun, experiential learning program that teaches youth how to start, own and operate their own business – a lemonade stand. The foremost objective of Lemonade Day is to empower youth to take ownership of their lives and become productive members of society – the business leaders, social advocates, volunteers, and forward-thinking citizens of tomorrow. Takes place in early May.
Tour De Boerne

Kendall County Fair
The Kendall County Fair Association is the home of the Annual Labor Day Kendall County Fair, Stock Show and Rodeo. For over 100 years the Kendall County Fair Association has maintained its agricultural mission for Kendall County and the greater Texas Hill Country. At the gate to the beautiful Texas Hill Country, a vibrant rural community where agricultural industries are encouraged, agricultural education is promoted and where agriculture, horticulture and livestock management are flourishing, the Kendall County Fair Association works hard to maintain the agricultural traditions, enhance agricultural education and encourage rural development both now and into the future.
Boerne Bierfest
Experience Texas’ finest craft breweries while enjoying Hill Country artists! In addition to your ticket and Craft Beer tasting, your entry includes art demonstrations, LIVE music, free participation in the stein hoist competition and keg toss, an opportunity to see and purchase the works from professional artists from all over Texas, and much more. Additional tasting tickets will be available for purchase at the event. While you are there, buy one of our commemorative T-shirts and posters. Under 21 free with paid adult. However, the event has been designed for adults. Takes place in September.
Boerne Wild Game Dinner
The Wild Game Dinner is the premier fundraiser for the Kendall County Jr. Livestock Association. Our missions were aligned with a focus on serving the youth of Kendall County by promoting education and agriculture. This new streamlined fundraising juncture will increase the funds raised to provide more opportunities to our local youth through scholarships, educational programs, and leadership camps. Please join us for some of the finest food out there! We welcome back our cook teams from the past and have added a few new ones! Fan favorites include Bacon Wrapped Quail, Fried Alligator, and Axis, and Wild Boar Chili Verde. We serve the best food in the State! Please join us in mid-October at the Kendall County Youth Ag & Equestrian Center located at 648 FM 289, Comfort.
Helotes Cornyval Parade
Helotes' grandest event, celebrating over 56 years, is the Cornyval parade. Harkening back to the early days when local Indians planted corn in the fertile Helotes valleys, the harvest marked a time of joy and feasting before their return to the hills. The name "Helotes" derives from the Spanish word "elote," meaning stalk corn. Since the 1800s, corn has been a vital crop in northwest Bexar County. Helotes and Cornyval pay homage to this heritage, commemorating the historic era's annual spring harvest with festivities that honor the rich agricultural legacy of the region.
Dickens on Main
Dickens on Main transforms Boerne's historic Hill Country Mile into a vintage wonderland with ice carving shows, street entertainers and vendors, Dickens characters, photos with Santa, a handmade market—and of course—holiday shopping at the Hill Country's best shops and boutiques.
Weihnachts Parade
Weihnachts Weekend starts early December with the Weihnachts Market at Main Plaza, offering local shopping and dining. The annual Weihnachts parade at night lights up Boerne’s Main Street with nearly 100 floats spreading holiday cheer. Explore boutiques, breweries, and eateries for a festive experience.
Oma's Christmas Craft Fair
The annual Oma’s Christmas Fair has been a part of the Kendall County Fair Association for over 35 years. They cherish the workmanship of those unique artisans that still have a love for the hand-crafted, made-in-the-USA label. Their craftsmen are skilled in time-tested American folk art techniques. They carve, weave, string, paint, sew, cook, draw, and create beautiful items all year long. This event is held every year on the 1st weekend in December at the Kendall County Fairground.
Music in the Park, Comfort
A free concert series held in Comfort Park is held from May through October on the second Tuesday of the month. Free to the Public – sponsored by Gaddis United Methodist Church and the Greater Comfort Area Chamber of Commerce & Visitor Center.
Boerne Village Band
Boerne's Main Plaza, known as Gazebo Park, showcases Wild Bill Hickock's sculpture by master sculptor Erik Christianson. Founded by German pioneers, Main Plaza was their gathering spot for bartering, selling crops, and celebrating with German music. The historic Boerne Village Band, established in 1860, still performs at Gazebo Park in summer, providing a nostalgic experience. The Boerne Village Band, the oldest continually active German band outside of Germany, hosts free concerts where you can enjoy traditional German and patriotic music, transporting you back in time to Boerne's early days. Bring your family, hats, lawn chairs, and pets for a delightful experience.
