At Brazos, we are frequently asked for our local endorsement on where to shop, drink and dine, so I was thrilled when given the opportunity to write this shopping guide for prospective visitors and residents of Texas’ Most Beautiful Town Square!

If you were to ask a local what makes Georgetown special to them, you'd find a popular theme aside from small-town charm: the inherent importance of community over competition.

As a neighborhood entrepreneur for close to the last decade, I can attest to the success of local development being rooted in a common belief among business owners that we are stronger together. This shared notion is why you'll notice no two businesses are alike, in order to create an experience visitors will conceivably want to constantly come back for.

In Georgetown, we are not short on local small business options, boutique, antique, and gift shops alike. When searching for a unique combination of specialty clothing and jewelry, the local boutiques are a great place to shop for your personal needs. You can start your boutique and shopping journey at Brazos Market, located one block off the square on Austin Avenue. We pride ourselves on an inviting atmosphere and wide range of trendy but timeless, as well as age-inclusive, "urban boho" styles. Up the stairs to the back of the shop, you'll find our wonderfully funky co-op partner, Teal Sky Studio, where you can shop a more "western boho" selection of apparel, jewelry, and home goods. Teal Sky is a perfect compliment to Brazos, making us a powerhouse pair and a worthwhile stop on your shopping adventure!

Know before you go: We suggest parking on a side street when available. Our neighboring bank parking lot should be accessible if the bank is closed. Also, cell signals are spotty at best downtown. Turn off your Bluetooth settings and WiFi when shopping downtown for better communication.
