This Party in the Park scene precedes the day’s pinnacle event: a breathtaking fireworks show. Since 1933, our Upper Arlington Civic Association has directed Fourth of July’s activities and preserved many long-standing customs, from the Paul Revere-style wake-up calls to the families who lead the parade in a re-enactment of Willard's famous painting “The Spirit of ‘76.” Alumni return for class reunions further cementing their ties with the community. You won’t need a calendar; the chairs staked out weeks in advance along the Northwest Boulevard parade route will remind you that the Fourth of July is almost here!

Photo Credit: Columbus Navigator Address: 1775 Darby Creek Dr., Galloway, Ohio 43119 Battelle Darby Creek features more than 7,600 acres of forest, prairies and wetlands. It stretches along 13 miles of the Big and Little Darby creeks, both State and National Scenic Rivers. Besides the areas surrounding the creeks, there are also over 1,600 acres of restored wetlands and prairies. Bison have been reintroduced to the park and roam freely within two enclosed pastures.
