Sisemore Traveland RV Museum and Amarillo Motorsports Hall of Fame
Located at 15501 I-27, the RV Museum and Amarillo Motorsport Hall of Fame are a must see for everyone. You can explore the progression of the RV industry from its inception until now. The best part is it is FREE! The Sisemore family began restoring and collecting unusual vintage RVs in 1986. The museum showcases motorhomes from the 1930s to the 1970s, including the Flexible Bus from the movie RV, the first Itasca motorhome ever built, and the oldest Fleetwood in existence. While some of the motorhomes are strictly for looking and not touching, others are interactive. Guests are encouraged to step inside and pretend they are living on an open road dream, vintage style! The museum provides a nostalgic, enjoyable and educational glimpse into the origins of recreational vehicles.The Amarillo Motorsports Hall of Fame has restored race cars and memorabilia for you to enjoy. See racing history up close and personal. The hours of operation are Thursday through Saturday from 10 to 3, closed on holiday weekends.
