Places to Worship
1) Sacred Heart Catholic Church
Sacred Heart Catholic Church has been serving the people of Montgomery County for over 100 years. While they’ve watched the area grow and change from generation to generation, they still uphold “the commitment of our parish to the faith through devotion to the Sacred Heart of Jesus Christ.” They gladly welcome all newcomers to the area, along with those with a growing interest in the Catholic faith.
2) North Shore Church
North Shore Church is “a family of believers who love, pray, and encourage each other.
Our prayer is that you will feel right at home as we gather, and we would love to have you as a part of our growing fellowship of believers.” Their vision is to love the Lord with all our hearts, souls, minds and bodies and “to love our neighbors as ourselves.” They offer nursery through pre-k during worship service and have children's ministry, student ministry, Bible study groups, prayer groups, classes such as “Parents of Teens” and more.
3) The Ark Church
The Ark Church is a nondenominational church full of diverse people who are “passionate about living a life with God, growing stronger, and making a difference in our community and the world.” They state that “whether you've been in church your entire life, or this is one of your first experiences with church, The Ark Church is a place you are welcome and a place you can call home.
4) Lone Star Cowboy Church
Lone Star Cowboy Church offers age-specific ministries for the whole family, groups to help you connect with others, and classes to help you grow. They want to do “everything we can to help you find the one that fits you best.” One of their unique services is an Arena Bible study where through rodeo events and activities, they align local cowboys and cowgirls with the “spirit of God” by focusing on “Reach, Teach, and Disciple.”
5) First Methodist Conroe
According to a local, “I enjoy FMC, as it is a warm and inviting church with both contemporary and traditional services. There are many opportunities to do service/outreach projects and there are quite a lot of Bentwater residents who are members of this church.”
6) The Ark Church
The Ark Church was created by Alan and Joy Clayton, whose “mandate was to build a church to save households.” Today The Ark Church continues that purpose, with an emphasis on kids, youth, groups, care and outreaches. They state that “whether you are a household of one or 100, this is a place for you and your family to live with God, grow stronger, and make a difference in the world.” According to a local, one of their famous taglines is that they are “friendlier than any bar in town!”
